BIOGRAPHY: Brothers Patrick and Steve Hoody are driven by the underground dance culture of early 90′s. Steve hooked into music with his first set of turntables in 1994; Patrick’s interest in writing music started when he bought an analogue synthesizer and a rhythym box. By mid-decade, the two had formed a creative partnership that pitted both brothers behind the synthesizer. Their first project, Mantra and Galax-Sea, was a live synth-driven show that showcased their abilities to musically improvise alongside renowned Belgium musicians. Electronic and heady in nature, the sonic structure of their sets still put house at the forefront, taking influences from artists such as DJ Sneak, Derrick Carter and Paul Johnson. Hailing from Belgium, the duo has toured Asia, Europe, North America and performed at Miami’s Ultra Music Festival in 2011 alongside David Guetta, Tiesto, Benny Benassi, and more. Having established themselves in the recent years as creative artists and have garnered praise due to their unpredictable tendency to merge several styles in their productions. Their most successful singles “Feel Funky” & “Moon Roller” were released on Cold Blank’s Burn The Fire Records where they remained at #1 and #2 on Beatport Indie Dance charts for over a month and a half. They are currently working on their debut full length album for Burn The Fire. |
